The Academic Museum, installed in the upper cloister and the adjoining areas of the Colégio de São Jerónimo in this beautiful city, brings together works of art from the contemporary period, from the end of the 19th century to the present: paintings, ceramics, metalwork, textiles, sculptures and posters among other types of artistic pieces.

The mission of this Academic Museum under the sponsorship of the University of Coimbra is to gather, preserve and disseminate the social, artistic and cultural values ​​of the academic community within the scope of its traditions and history.
